Grandview Heights, Ohio
A beautiful first floor remodel in Grandview Heights. The family wanted an open concept kitchen, entertaining, living space and mudroom storage for their young family. It was very important to keep the traditional aspects of their family home while adding modern updates and brightening the space.
The entire first floor was transformed with a new and more functional layout that fit their needs: Removing the wall between the kitchen and dining areas as well as removing archways to the living room to create an open concept; moving dining room to the front of the house to create a cozy semi formal dining room near the original fireplace.
The vision for the selections were to keep original trim and baseboards but to brighten the spaces by painting all the trim white. All floors were replaced with natural oak that looks as it was always there. Custom cabinets with quartz countertops and Sonoma Tile Makers backsplash in a beautiful grey glaze tie all the finishes together. This busy family needed very functional and timeless plumbing fixtures. We selected a workstation sink and industrial pulldown faucet in a stainless finish to get the job done.
